Well, Republicans are trying to decide what medical care trans people are allowed to have. They're trying to decide who gets to play sports. None of this shit was a problem until they pretended it was. Now they want to alter trans people's lives. So ... that.

Forgot to reply to this at the time. So, it's not just across the Atlantic. The UK is eating itself alive, right now, and trans issues are a big topic. Their health services are making it harder than ever to get care, while their clinics get taught hate propaganda and wait times get longer and so on

Also, Hungary has regressed in terms of policies and support. Countries, including France, Denmark, Poland, more, have overly strict asylum laws, which can sometimes disadvantage lgbt people in the process. Netherlands still has legal conversion therapy, and hate crimes are up.

Ireland is now recognizing transition and allowing documentation changes, but it is also seeing problems with trans healthcare, including extreme difficulty of access, no services at all for young people, almost no surgical services for anyone, and what there is uses outdated, humiliating rules.

Hungary and Poland we mostly hear about in relation to their restrictive abortion laws. As for asylum seeking, it is indeed a big issue here in France, but I'm not sure why you'd tie it in to LGBT people, unless you're talking about people seeking asylum specifically because of persecution on LGBT.

Yeah, I've heard Britain described as TERF island before, they're a big hotspot for that for some reason.
