Also, not liking being "back in the school" and talking about "losers" would make sense if he was bullied in school for being one. As a feminine boy or teen transman, he would definetly be a target...

I also think that picking a hunting idea and a power trip one, would work in this idea of being "a real man". Work too with the remark of him being "a good actor". But I think there is more, I think there is trauma behind him...

When he talk about how words could lose their meaning when saying everyday without really thinking them and how he interpret that as maybe a way to take advantage, that his own experience that talk.. Either its him the victime or the one doing it.

I think he also might be more like Raghata than he admit himself. He talk briefly about his mother in the safary part, and when Ragatha talk about her experience with her mother, Jax face look like he remeber bad memories too...

But that also, if we take the transmasc route, that he was "a farm girl" too, that would also explain in some way why he is afraid of corn, that would remind him some trauma of the past (if it's not just "tha cat and cucumber" meme of course).

And to end, about his lost tail, I personally think that its might be the start of him losing his sense of self and become either crazy like Kinger, of starting his abstraction path... We will see in episode 6 how Jax going, but damn, this episode was good.
