Social Security is not an entitlement, it is an earned benefit and it hasn’t been mismanaged. These are all lies they made up to justify cutting it. If you want to lower the deficit, why don’t we start with having Trump pay for his own golfing trips? And stop giving tax breaks to millionaires.

And people who receive SS disability benefits only receive support based off of their contributions into the system, so my husband became a 100 percent service connected disabled veteran at the age of 28. He didn’t make very much money in the military, so he receives little in SSDI benefits.

And even capped out at top VA disability payments and SSDI combined, he doesn’t make as much as he did as a Special Forces Navy EOD diver, and will make less as our kids reach 18 even though college expenses will far exceed what we spent in their childhood, and I had to stop working to care for him.

Wow… Everyone who is currently getting SS/SSI or will be applying in the coming years needs to be worried 😧 Many of us have paid into SS and Medicare for our whole working lives. Trump needs to be stopped!!

There sure is a lot we can do “in terms of cutting” and the first thing we should do is cut out the salary cap on the social security tax! If you earn $176,000, you’ll pay $10,918 in ss tax; if you earn $576,000 you’ll pay $10,918; if you earn $29,576,000 (J&J CEO), you’ll pay $10,918
