If I have an edit button I would cross out the entire post, stupid ignorant comment

Highlights being removed destroys a ton of stuff
VODs isn't kept around for long by default already
This isn't just deleting stuff in a new obscure feature

Streamers aren't worried about VOD's, what they are worried about is Highlights because you can archive a stream by making the entire stream a Highlight. Some streamers might have a huge backlog of old streams for possiblt years

VODs “aren’t affected” because they are removed even sooner. The thing that makes this a problem is how crucial Highlights were for things like speedruns.

To the best of my knowledge, most people use "vods" to refer to all stored video content on twitch, as opposed to "streams". This change in policy affects highlights, and I've referred to highlights before as "twitch vods".

fyi, vods are auto deleted after 7 days, or 14 for affiliate. or 60 days if you have turbo/prime. It's misleading wording on purpose.

They are talking about highlights, which let you keep the vod indefinitely - till now.
