Once the usual nonsense was spouted at the meet they set off heading from the meet towards Potterne Wick, turning down towards Potterne Park Farm. Sabs were as ever keeping a close eye and on the RA's tails...🧵

(as opposed to trails of which there were none as usual). Carter, losing his sense of direction opted for a 180 degree turnaround and headed straight back the way he came. Our sab vehicle was able see their new direction along Stroud Lane, past Stroud Hill Farm and dropping into the area below..🧵

Crookwood Farm.
Carter carried on casting most of the hounds in this area. We say most because as usual a good 1/3 of the pack had gone off to do their own thing. Hounds were very close to the A360 and flanked on the other side by the main line railway to London...🧵

Sabs and vehicle were always positioned to keep eyes on, and the hounds had remained quiet and intermittently speaking. Eventually tempers got a little frayed and the kennel man started throwing accusations at sabs for opening and closing gates..🧵

Moving back towards the meet, the kennel man got a little upset with one sab and threatened to give him a dunking in the nearby brook. The day was getting on and weather deteriorating when Carter headed back to Potterne Wick again. The hounds were completely out of control and entered peoples...🧵

Gardens near Wick Farm. Fortunately no-one’s pets were out and Carter eventually retrieved the trespassing hounds.
Carter then revisited paths back past the meet to the southern side of the area they had permission to hunt. But given the two incidents of trespass last week they don’t really..🧵
