I have another question: In my opinion, our country is broke. What are your fiscal suggestions to balance our budget so that the country can continue as it is? It’s a difficult question, that no politicians want to address. What is your prescription?
I have just saw you on Galloway’s podcast. My question for you is quite simple: how is it that Democrats (like yourself) will back anything the Party has to say when they (you) are in power (and you have their support), although when the party you oppose is in power, you feel oppressed? Objective?
Now that SCOTUS has thrown out stare decisis and continues to arbitrarily grant powers to Trump on shadow docket, how can a country operate under such "lawless" legal framework.
Is there consensus amongst economists for how bad our economy must get for a majority of Trump voters to regret their decision? What indicators would people need to experience for them to rethink their MAGA support?
I just watched a clip of trump speaking to members of our military as though he was performing at one of his political rallies. Is there a law against such behavior?
If there were concrete evidence that someone had cheated many years ago in his application for admission into a school...say Wharton, c. 1966... is there a statute of limitations preventing the school from revoking the undergraduate diploma?
Trump makes veiled threats to use official powers to target the Boss on his return from his tour, for speaking out against him and supporting his opponent for President. This has a chilling effect. If the Boss foregoes suing to enforce his right to free speech, do members of the public…
In the CASA case, why are the justices so focused on relief for plaintiffs vs the point Jackson was making, essentially that the court said, "Temporarily stop doing this thing while we litigate"?
If a chemical company is releasing toxins into streams in 27 states and the EPA sues, that's national.
As to the remedy for the gov’t not obeying a court’s order, is one possibility to say that the court will refuse to hear from the gov’t until it purges its contempt?
What happens if SCOTUS rules against birth right citizenship? Will they try to strip citizenship retroactively? What happens if blue states uphold and red states don’t? Could that happen??
As NYU faculty, do you support the university withholding the diploma of Logan Rozos who spoke out about Israel's killing of over 46,000 Palestinians in Gaza?
Why is the Supreme Court allowing the current administration to play games with the law and not simply smacking down all of this nonsense? It feels like the majority on the court wants to side with the Executive Branch but the EB is making it difficult to find in their favor...but they keep trying.
Also, does the Supreme Court really want the be hearing all of these issues rather than empowering the lower courts to do their job? It's making a mockery of the gravitas of the court. Is this just the first felon's love of all things superlative?
Have you read Deliver Me From Nowhere, the story of Bruce Springsteen’s making of the Nebraska album (and the basis for the upcoming movie starring Jeremy Allen White)?
I only recently got to reading it and it is a fantastic read.
The SC ruled that the Trump administration must facilitate the release of Kilmar Ábrego García. Trump said in an interview that he could do it if he wanted to.
Trump and his administration are blatantly defying a SC order so... Now what??
I watched your answer regarding 86/47. There are a lot of meanings to that. Many, like restaurant people understand to 86 something is to discard it (trash it). Not everyone thinks it’s to kill.
As the administration continues to ignore the law, the constitution, and the courts, what do you think would be the tipping point to hold them accountable?
Can you think of a single instance where Trump has admitted a mistake or taken responsibility for something that has gone wrong? In my lifetime Kennedy had the Bay of Pigs, Carter the failed Iran hostage rescue, and even Nixon said he made mistakes. Has Trump has ever stepped up?
I believe he did finally say Obama was born in the USA, but literally everything else has been someone else’s fault. Of course I could be wrong about my Obama reference.
Preet: Why don’t jobs appointed by the president have job descriptions like any job in the private sector? Even 2nd in command positions. Justice dept positions must have law degrees and pass the bar? Head of HHS, CDC should have medical degrees? Do we need a law for this? Really enjoy the pod.

How can I get him to instead support local businesses & stop lining the pockets of Bezos & thus allowing Bezos to buy yet another yacht?
Not aware of philanthropic works to better society paid for by billionaire Bezos.
It's like a house built on toothpick foundation.

That's like calling him grumpy, delicious, or tall.

But maybe if it was said by a mobster.
Just saying.
