Been 💯 Linux for a few years now and don't miss Windows the least. Booted a Windows partition I keep around for a FEW things and a big full screen warning "Prepare for the end of Win 10!" came up. Ya with Winblows on your computer it's not yours.
Not been an easy transition, had to pour a lot time into config and learning, but looked at is as education. Linux on the desktop has come a long way since I last tried it 20+ years ago!
Spent yesterday moving my documents off NTFS shared partition to ext4 now I'm confident not going back. Will still keep the windows partition but going to slim it right down to reclaim some space.
I once got a call out to a small business who got the windows 10 update that removes the USB drivers at boot and never loads them. Was an insider build that got accidentally pushed to main. The rolling update system M$ uses saved their ass, only affected ~1000 machines before it was caught lol
And when I say removed I mean, it affected the recovery environment. The moment you got past EFI it just had no USB.
Had to boot from a USB recovery and roll back the update that way

My computer didn't feel like 'mine' any more.
At this point I'm upset when I have to use a Mac, much less Windows.

Do your symptoms include windows 11 slowing to a crawl after 5 minutes?
