It's ridiculous, but that's what we were signed up for. I'd like to see more being made of the fact that agreement for NI referendums every 7 yrs rubbish's the IndyRef2 "neverendum" argument dead.

Also, given s.30's dead in the water, what's the plan, the practical plan for getting us out now?

Because "Northern" Ireland has no huge energy assets to plunder for England's benefit. In fact "Norther" Ireland is regarded by Whitehall as a financial burden they'd be happy to be rid of, as soon as possible. Hence the thinly veiled invitation to vote to leave the UK.

We voted but how can that be Constitutionally legal if it maked Scotland an unequal partner in what was supposedly a 'voluntary union'. That was not put to the people of Scotland but imposed by the same party that ruled in Westminster afterwards.

What do you mean by "get on with it"? An illegal referendum or just declare independence? In my opinion, we can't declare independence until there is evidence that over 50% want it, and an illegal referendum would be a disaster.

How would we hold a referendum? It would be Catalonia mk11. It wouldn't work and the result would most likely be the end of our devolved government. Unionists wouldn't vote and those who didn't vote Westminster would claim didn't want independence. Organisers would be arrested. Sorry but needs said
