As a non-US member of @asm.org I would like to see this clarified and turned around (this concerns the removal of highlights of scientific contributions by minorities) as soon as possible. If not you may hope to keep your federal money but you will lose mine (I know, peanuts etc).

Wait. @asm.org last I checked, you are not a government agency, so why should this Executive Order apply to a non-governmental professional/scientific society? Why are you obeying an unjust order in advance when doing so clearly hurts the interests of microbiologists you claim to represent?
