I usually check like, the media tab to see if they're even a real person at first, see some posts and consistency etc.

So many of them feel like they're specifically fishing for a follow back, and without fail they're open for commissions, or a dubiously real pride/gaza cause. I hate that I'm immediately distrustful of those accounts now because of people like that.

I used to run a semi-personal blocklist and every single person who complained about being improperly blocked were exactly this. I don't trust anyone who isn't capable of even lightly vetting who they're following.
