Just look at Australia... there is not a lot that we can do once such high winds take hold, except leave. We have learnt the hard way. Even being fire ready doesn't help much. Preventative laws like no fires outdoors on fire ban days still don't always work. Mother Nature decides, nothing else.

I’m sorry. My son and his family live in Boiling Springs, SC. My daughter in law, a nurse volunteered for Samaritan’s Purse in Hendersonville and Asheville after Helene. The MAGA misinformation made the situation far worse than it needed to be.
