Love and respect Lamar and Jackson but pound for pound the halftime show that will carry to my grave is Prince. It might not have had as many viewers but…. It was absolutely magical and perfect.
Cool except Kendrick had nothing to do with this lol. The viewership grew every year besides covid. So for him to only beat Michael by 2 million views 32 years later is not a flex.

Red white and blue dancers forming a flag. Then it splits apart.
All black dancers form the flag to remind people of the contribution of black Americans to America.
And Samual Jackson!! Whew!!
Hi there... I always enjoy what you share on Bluesky but we're not friends yet, I have tried several times to follow but it’s not going through. Do you mind trying from your end? I will be happy to be one of your friends here since there’s no end in making friends.
It’s funny to read some people saying “worst halftime show ever” but judging by their comments they couldn’t turned it off or stop watching…and then elaborate on how they had to google the lyrics to understand what the songs were about 🤣🤣.

3. Had straight A’s as a kid.
4. Wanted to play professional basketball.
5. Was most inspired by Tupac for lyrical content & activism.

Not to diminish K's performance and interest, but the US population in 1993 was 260.3 million and it is now at 341. I'm always hesitant to make such comparisons. 🤷
But there were no white people! I demand a recount. Obvious fraud in television. Maybe Presidente Moosk should take over nielsen too so we can see the real numbers. I mean come on? No white people? How can a majority not watch and it's the most watched? Make it make sense. He only played 1 chord. Am
Wow. Since I boycotted the game since trump “end racism” and then showed up, only saw parts. I don’t care for the genre, but at least I know that NO ONE markets to or cares what a 70 year old white sees or does.
So touchy! 😂 First time a president attends the Super Bowl and ratings were 3% higher than last year. I’d say that was due more to Trump than Kendrick Lamar.
Weird. I actually boycotted the whole damn thing bc I thought that's how were going to "teach them a lesson" or something. Beginning to see the protest stuff ain't gonna work if we can't be bothered to turn the channel for one afternoon.
This is what I did. I won’t support anyone who supports Trump and the likes. But I also knew anything Kendrick Lamar was going to do with Trump & Friends in front row seats was going to be worth it.
Boycotting has never been successful. Not on a large scale. It might work in a small town of a few hundred people, but on a global scale? No, you'd have better luck herding cats.
That pretty well defeats any statement that he isn't talented. All his critics have remaining in their arsenal is to say the viewership reporting is inaccurate (or "rigged").
Wonder what the viewership was after? Was there a drop? I watched ONLY the halftime show, and that was the day after. Kendrick Lamar = Artist. Supporter from up North! Love and Respect!

LOVE IT!!!!
You can’t plan rain for “Purple Rain”.
Stars aligned that day.
I don’t even wanna know how hard it is to play an electric guitar in the rain let alone the way he did.
Still pretty clear what was going on without a deliberately muffled word. Don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
