W4 was changed a couple years ago. There’s no longer a number for dependents. It’s now a dollar amount.

They should simply put $16,000 as dependents under 17

I only brought it up because someone I know didn’t do theirs correctly when it was changed and ended up owing $5k instead of getting a refund as they usually had. Tough lesson.

And I’ve seen other comments saying the same “number of exemptions”

Change your employee status to independent contractor and no federal, social security, and medicare withholding will be collected from you paycheck.

Your employers deposit and report these WH on 941 reports.

They will notice quickly when the 941s are very short.
