I told the lil story a bit in my alt of the first pic but i'll put it here too, that first piece I did when I was 11/12 it was my first ever drawing I did after I decided I wanted to draw comics and she was my first OC I ever made, her name was Thorn.
I was so proud of that drawing and I showed everyone, I even took it to my friends house to show her and her mum, I couldn't stop looking at her either I remember keeping it on the radiator, not the best place to keep a drawing but it was on the way put my bedroom so I could look at it on my way out
Although it is a little rough and the eye was too big i loved it and everyone encouraged me to keep at it, so I did, I drew constantly, and with time and practice I got better. If you are an artist just starting out or been at it for years, you're doing great, keep going, keep doing what you love π
It's amazing when I see people give genuine advice and cheer other artists on, your arts development is beautiful, it's always great getting to see where someone else started, thanks for sharing. It's honestly super inspiring π
There is so much joy in creating, and i know it can be easy to lose especially right now with everything that's going on, we all just need a little encourgment sometimes.
This is such a great, heart-warming story. This is why we're artists! And the massive improvement from 2007 to 2024 is a payoff, but also just the continuation of that same story (as if posting on social media is not the mass equivalent of running to your friend's house to show them!)
I so appreciate these threads. Iβve always loved drawing but didnβt think I had the talent. But seeing these convinced me I could learn, and now I am, and Iβm getting better and having SO much fun!!
