Pete Hegseth said that the Black Hawk helicopter involved in last night's crash was..."a mistake was made" during the training.

"No excuses, we're going to get to the bottom of this," he told reporters at the White House on Thurs. morning.

"there was some sort of an elevation issue," Hegseth said.
