Not a lot of people know this but there was a TV soap opera somewhat based on Vampire: the Masquerade that ran for a season and it's an absolute gem. Starts off reeeally wonky, especially if you're a gigantic VtM nerd, but it grows on you.

It really did start to get better by the end. Reportedly, the 2nd season scripts were an improvement overall, and Mark Frankel, who played Julian Luna, was really into the setting. His death pretty much cemented it not getting renewed for another season. :(

In our Baltimore by Night V5 game, both Julian and Sasha Luna showed frequently with Julian as a kind, almost fatherly abdicated Prince on the path to Golconda and Sasha as a powerful, charismatic, domineering figure willing to get her hands dirty to move up the ladder in a way Julian used to.

1/3 of our coterie would've been more than happy to let Sasha Luna step on us and make us her call her Mommy while the rest low key hated her arrogance and lack of personal boundaries. Julian became our go-to confidant for advice on hard decisions that had us questioning our humanity and morals.
