I do love a puzzle- am fixed on em when family used to ever have one on the go, but don’t own any… I think I might need to find this one & get some calming jigsaw joy going 😍
It’s called “mixtape” by Galison. It’s honestly not as fun once you get the hang of it. Too geometric and all the tapes are different colored not a great challenge z
I love the design though; love a bit of retro and graphic art 🥰
I agree, the best puzzles (of any kind) are… puzzling/challenging 😜 easier ones are always good for a lift, for the distraction alone 🥰
I’ve never bought them as I wouldn’t do them twice…my Mom bless her, had hundreds 🤣
You might enjoy electronic jigsaw puzzles, such as the Magic Puzzle app for iPad. Wide selection of artwork and a range of difficulty levels. And my puppy can’t mess with the pieces.
I can relate - I got a gorgeous puzzle last year, but when I got it sorted, it was more like a series of easily completed mini-puzzles you just put together. Still beautiful, but not as satisfying.
Your post made me realize that this is what I'm missing in my post-11/5 world. I got 8 massive jigsaw puzzles on buynothing a few years ago because I aspire to be a person with enough time to do them. But I've never touched them. Time to drag them out and fill my not-watching-news time!
If you’re looking for sources for new #puzzles, I give my mother a puzzle subscription from this website. You sign up for how many puzzles that you want to receive at one time and when done, you just mail them back and wait for the next ones.
It’s actually not at all challenging and will probably be done tonight or tomorrow. All the cassettes are different, so it’s fairly easy to find the right pieces.
That's good. The hardest puzzle I have ever seen was was a "cow" puzzle. There were a hundred or so cows all identical. This also was double sided, and the other side were 45 deg offset. My sister in law gave that to my father in law as a joke. He finished it, glued it and sent it back to her

The moon surface and footprints were brutal

A house is not a home without a puzzle in progress on the table.
Do you ever do jigsaw puzzles online? That's how I do them due to space limitations.
I started this one yesterday

But weirdly, I have a puzzle that’s been sitting for almost two months-edges done, and then I stopped.
🤞🏻gloomy winter weather gets me back puzzling.
PDX also has a great puzzle exchange group.
