Surprised yet not. Didn’t they have a bit of a kerfuffle a few years ago about profiling black customers? Leopards don’t change their spots apparently.
I think I am going to do that, and Trader Joe’s for all but the safe foods. I started getting Grove for cleaning products delivered. Might look at some other stuff like that.
They were how I was weaning myself off Amazon for all except some key things (for people food issues). Here in MN they are like everywhere. Limited other options.
I won’t be able to stop either completely. The food issues are just too big in our family. But I am going to try to do as much as I can. The hard part for me is delivery. It’s a massive support for me as an autistic person. I’ll have to trade off for other draining things.
No clue if Costco delivery is available in your area, but that’s how I get basically all of my pantry items and paper products and random household stuff like batteries. Being able to have that stuff delivered has really helped me manage the horrors of in-person shopping.
I’ve also been using Thrive Market lately to have pantry & frozen items shipped. They don’t have fresh produce, but perhaps something like MisFits would be able to help in that category? Or a grocery store that has delivery via Instacart (etc)? Or would curb/in-store pickup be helpful?
