I recently had a conversation with someone about the state of the world—the anxiety, the dread, the overwhelming helplessness that so many of us feel. And while there’s no simple solution, I shared a few things that help me push through. Nothing groundbreaking, just ways I fight to stay hopeful.

To everything. Your surroundings, people, conversations, shifts in the way things are happening. If you don’t understand something, look it up. Knowledge is a weapon. Stay armed. They count on us being distracted, misinformed, and complacent. Don’t give them that advantage.
Write it down. Journal it. Type it. Record it. We are watching history be erased in real-time. They are purging information, rewriting facts, burying the truth. The only way the future will know what really happened is if we tell them.
If you have young people around you, talk to them. Teach them. About history, about life, about what’s actually possible. This country thrives on ignorance because ignorance is easy to control.
