Though I'm ambivalent personally.

I will not be scolding anyone, but I think in these early days there's some benefit to not giving ppl an easy out if it can be avoided.

Fair enough, I did misunderstand you. You're completely correct, and I'm of the feeling they'll choose escalation once protests get to a certain size or start making specific demands, regardless of how peaceful they are.
