The average salary in the US is 66,621, per the SSA in 2023. Your number is closer to the median not the average in 2020 $34,612, again per the SSA. You should make sure you have your numbers correct before spouting off.

Being majority millionaires is a different problem.
If we make Congress voluntary or don't pay a living wage the regular people who do get elected wouldn't be able to afford to do the job we elect them to do and only the rich can apply at all.

The salary disparity is also a different problem, I'd argue that both issues have come from having majority rich ppl in office. They can't relate & until we fix that problem we can expect the wealth disparity to continue.

Weird how, in other countries, they just make all that extra outside income illegal (because it is bribery) but American bootlickers think it is impossible here.
