That covers the hardware portion, the rest, is YouTube, and trial and error. Tips n tricks should come later. Just get the thing to boot, then go from there. Once the first few, "please boot 🙏🏻 " out of your system, it gets easier to tinker.
There are tons of videos on how to build a PC, and there are services for getting one prebuilt/built for you.
They’re really just legos. Expensive, somewhat finicky, and require troubleshooting, but when you get the general idea of how everything fits, it’s like legos.
There's the page "mifcom.de", which has a virtual computer assembler, with which you can preemtively check things like the compatibility of various parts, if that's something you're looking for (though the page is in German)
Buy surplus from companies. Thanks to all the AI nonsense a bunch of businesses are unloading all their "old"(e.g 3 years ago) equipment for practically nothing. Here's a guide.
raahh!! hopefully we both can figure it out 🫶🫶 im pretty hesitant to bite the bullet on buying parts because they're so expensive and i have NO CLUE what im doing
we're on the same wavelength LMAO my next approach was "okay maybe i can buy one prebuilt???" and they dont seem all that great :/ but maybe ill do some more research!!
i got a gaming laptop a like 3 years ago but now its so close to dying and it actually makes an insane amount of noise just by loading up firefox so maybe a pc is a better option…? then again i dont know anything about pcs either lmao
I've built my own PC twice now. Honestly, it's not for everyone. If everything goes right, it's a breeze. But if one thing goes wrong, it's a nightmare.
Not knowing how to troubleshoot issues can be really stressful when you're like $2k invested in something.
