I love this dark tune, it's got a real dystopian under current, It always makes me think of someone on a journey home in the wake of some horrific event.

When Neil Finn toured with Paul Kelly they played a song called Dumb Things? In the Lowlands shares a similar vibes IMHO 🎶🎶🎶

I remember this song being darkly catchy when I first played the album, and thought the three finishing tracks on Side 2 were very unique and distinct from each other. Very much agree with the sense of foreboding masked by the melody and rhythm. 😊🎶

This is one of those songs that I really liked, but truly took on a new dimension when I heard it live. It just had a whole new impact, and the song has been right up there for me in the CH catalogue ever since.

The lyrics on this are stunning. Dark, foreboding - full on pathetic fallacy. It warns of bad times ahead, but in true Neil Finn style, he carries dark lyrics in a song that, here and there, breaks into an almost joyous melody…just like It’s Only Natural.

The sense of foreboding is so deeply encapsulated in both the music and the lyrics that I always feel this song in my body. I really love the track listing on the album too, having it straight before Better Be Home Soon adds such a contrast and makes that song hit even more too
