I’ve only just started it I’ll let you know. The writing is decent and not too academic, which I appreciate. Nice collection. I too keep my Seidenstickers next to each other for good company.
Its strength so far is in the way she weaves the experiences of all classes of people and also the land itself into a sort of living, moving, breathing tapestry. There are facts I hadn’t known here and there but overall the angles are the most intriguing.
