You can tell that MLS knows it's struggling for relevancy by them, for the first time ever, sharing every teams independent coverages... blogs, etc.

We didn't renew either subscription.
With the MLB and ESPN divorce, I think Garber and team want to rethink their deal with Apple. They are in nowhere-ville right now and the WC is next summer.
1. Get on other networks and streamers
2. Start their 2026 season right after the WC, switching the calendar.
Data shows that soccer fans will watch whatever soccer is on ESPN, etc, just because it's on.
If they can draw 1/3 of what those baseball games drew. They rocket past MLS.
Another reason for MLS urgency in re-thinking apple.
🍎tv being small for sports,
Small advert budget,
Changing demos,
Better leagues availability,
Alienating fans with L-cup,
Shrinking # of subscribers,
Tech gap,
Are sport fans Android users?
The list goes on...
The most hilarious recent development, is seeing their "fans" defend them because of their valuation. 🤣
I've never heard of that helping.
