There are going to be people that will get passionate about their opinion between Pioneer/Traktor. I'm gonna say do what is feasible for you, and use which ever software that gives you what you need. I've used a FLX6 since 2021. I've also used Rekordbox since then with no issues. but... 1/2 - ThreadSky

I know very well Rekordbox has it's issues. BUT I haven't experienced these issues. And I don't have a want to play outside of my room. So the "Industry Standard" stuff never bothered me either. So just get what will work for you!

I think both would work for me and I definitely want to pull up to IRL pop-ups. I feel like Traktor's software has less issues but I bet i could handle whatever Rekordbox throws at me. Think maybe I should just save up a bit and bite the bullet.

Rekordbox's "issues" are more of like... workflow problems.

Rekordbox is kinda like Cisco.... where they do the exact same thing as anybody else's shit, but it costs 2x more and is called something wack.

Hot Que behavior use to be "Cue and Play" by default as an example.

The issues i mostly hear about or have seen myself are faulty key and bpm detection and export problems. Often something seems to break or get worse from update to update.

I haven’t played with Traktor 3s beat detection, and I still use rekordbox 6 for irl track prep, so can’t fully comment on the modern mechanics, but I’d say in my experience both softwares were really genre dependent on how accurate they’d be.

Can’t exactly disagree with this. For DnB at least 99% of the time it nails the bpm, but it occasionally gets confused by some snare somewhere and puts the whole grid off by a beat or two, fairly quick to just go in and correct everything. Software controllers also let you adjust grid on the fly.

My issue was that one time i had to prep for an IRL b2b and it would shift the bpm mid-track >.> Like I'd set it to 174 and it just slowly drifted off when in Traktor, setting it to 174 kept everything aligned throughout the whole track

cdjs are not limited to 16bit, the CDJ2000NXS2 are limited to 24bit and the CDJ3000s are "limited" to 32bit
