this is less than a minute of footage and SO MUCH HAPPENS! but it's paced SO SMARTLY that it's not frantic, except for when it should be, and every little shift has room to breathe. please see how cinematic it is— the angles, the cuts, the light, building mood. Escaflowne is in a class of its own.
