friends, what's some good historical fiction for someone (me) who likes things like andrzej sapkowski's hussite trilogy and bernard cornwell's last kingdom/winter king books?

have you taken a stab at Christian Cameron? (he publishes fantasy under the name Miles Cameron) The Tyrant/Long War series' are set in Hellenic Greece, while the Chivalry series focuses on the Hawkwood company in the medieval Italian wars.
Keith Taylor’s “Bard” series is historical fantasy, but he gets the texture of Iron Age Britain down really well. It’s got that King Arthur as post-Roman Warlord thing. From book 2 onward the titular Bard is a co-protagonist with his lover, a Norse pirate queen.
