I think there’s going to be a serious case of split vote for REM. Having 6 albums in the final and everyone having a diff favourite. I’m going to try and squeeze two into my final 5 if I can, I love all of these records so much! 😊
All great records Neil, but I'd probably go Green-Murmur-Pagaent-Document-Reckoning-Fables in that order. You could make a case for all of them though, 6 brilliant albums!
I think I prefer them all to Green, don’t get me wrong I still love Green it’s got some absolute stand out tracks on it. At the mo I’m going Murmur, Pageant, Reckoning, Fables, Document, Green. But that’ll Prob change. I’m only picking 2 for the final 5 though.
Pageant is far and away my favorite of theirs, it's one of my heart of hearts, love at first sight records, and after living with it for 40 years I love it even more now than then. How sweetly funny that "You Are The Everything" from Green perfectly describes my relationship with Pageant.
It is a such great record, although it’s never been my favourite of theirs but I’ve been listening to it more and more in the last year or so. My fave R.E.M. changes all the time. 😊
