Even if we could actually really bring back dire wolves, the climate of the Earth has changed so much since they last walked it, they wouldn’t be able to survive except in specific climate controlled areas like zoos. What kind of life is that for them? They were wild animals.

And this isn’t an attack on zoos. It’s just that they are the only ones that may be capable of providing specific climate controlled areas for the possibility of a de-extinct dire wolf.

Could we maybe save the animals that are at threat of going extinct right now instead of trying to bring back an animal that cannot survive outside of captivity today? Fight for Orcas, manatees, look up white nose syndrome and how it’s killing bats. Bats are essential to our ecosystem.

Plant milkweed to help monarch butterflies. Stop spraying pesticides on dandelions so bees can collect dandelions’ pollen to make honey. My great grandmother made a dandelion soup during the Great Depression. Make a wish and blow dandelion seeds out to spread so bees can utilize them elsewhere.
