Not all trans athletes are the same. A biological male who transitions after puberty has an advantage over biological females. A biological male who transitions after puberty does not have that advantage.

The conclusion notes specifically that cisgender men do NOT make good analogues for transgender women and we need to be studied separately, but speaking merely empirically it is not in fact "clear" that there is an "undeniable advantage' at all.

If you're going to allege it's flawed, you should point out *how* and *why* it's flawed. This study is unique in that it's one of a few that actually uses transgender women to measure performance rather than assuming we are equivalent to cisgender men.

The reason I support trans women in sports (only after 2+ years on HRT) is due to my own experience of lost strength on HRT. There is a huge change and many of my cisgender women friends are stronger than me.

2/ I agree about puberty blockers. I have had gender dysphoria since I was 4, and didn't get access to puberty blockers which would have saved me from having to go through several of my surgeries trying to combat a puberty I desperately did not want.

3/ it's not just sports. It means we have less of a chance of being harassed in our day to day lives. I know trans women who had access to them and they have never once been harassed in public. I'm so happy for them and wish I had a time machine.

Interesting article. Good thorough research. From my skim it shows how in some sports there likely is no issue and others that require flexibility, actually a disadvantage. I hope there will be further study of specific sports where running speed is a required skill. Thanks for sharing!
