I am absolutely also supporting Mexico and other countries. Canada first, but I’m fine with things form central and America, the UK and others.

Only exception. My dog can eat *3* kinds of food. All American. Canada hasn’t got the low fat deal yet lol.

So true. We have always tried to support local, small farms.

But the question was about buying from other countries. I’m torn. Canada is in for a rough ride. But we depend on other countries to buy from us so we should return the support, no?

We're buying from Canada, Mexico, Europe. No US, even if we have to do without something. There's almost always an alternative, and usually no more expensive.

It's tricky as there doesn't appear to be uniform standards for labelling. I use an app called OScanada that provides guidance but it's not perfect but allows users to scan bar codes.
I'm also boycotting US owned media. No Post Media!

There used to be a huge farmers market outside of London, ON. It was awesome. Farmers pulling up with produce in the flatbed trucks. Local meat and cheeses. Anyone in that area should check it out.

Buy Canadian when I can. Anything but American when I can't.

Basically trying to minimize using stuff where money goes down south. Some of it is unavoidable.

I just do my best and hope others take a similar approach and from the news it looks like people have.

Because I work for the Canadian subsidiary of a US company that has ops all over the world, I am scared. We sell products made on both side of the border, but many more are US originating. I loathe Trump and his threats to our sovereignty but I might lose my job and don’t think I could start over.
