I specifically like Car Radio by Twenty One Pilots, so if you like that vibe (in my head I call it burnout) you might enjoy Badflower. Though they're more on the pop/rock/alternative side and their lyrics can be rude 😂

To see if you like Badflower's vibe, I'd recommend these songs:
30 (sexual lyrics but very self critical)
Ghost (warning that it's about suicide though)
Johnny Wants to Fight (overall a fun song)
Drop Dead

They're definitely on the more rock side than Twenty One Pilots, but the songs are complex

Maybe not 100% the same, but off the top of my head I would say maybe Grandson. Mix of rap, rock, EDM, pop. Always with strong messages though. Favourite tracks: Blood//Water, Identity, Overdose, Rain, Despicable, Running From my Shadow.

I would agree with Grandson. I'd also add: Mk.gee, Beauty School Drop Out, Two Feet and MOD SUN also fall in the Venn diagram of Twenty One Pilots to varying degrees

So I realised I barely recommended women, and previous recommendations were more rock-centric.

Some indie pop and alt suggestions: Glass Animals, BANKS, Allies X, half•alive, and also Willow ironically enough (empathogen is jazzy while is punk)

These are more genre agnostic.
