As I understand it, this a subtle re-sculpt of the skeletons. I've been told by GW staff that the new sculpts have slightly thicker bones and larger joins to give them more strength. The old ones are quite fragile.

Also the new ones have the little tombstones on the sprue if that's your thing. 😂

I'll be interested to see if there actually is a difference beside the tomb stones.
I'm currently painting the 'old' ones and they wobble quite alarmingly when dry brushing or if a brush touches them too strongly. I've already had one leg snap when the mini fell over.

Some seem different, and some aren’t. I’d heard that the original ones were too fragile and snapped at the ankles a lot? Not sure if true.

Sounds right, one of the ones from Cursed City broke on me when building it (nothing some glue couldn't fix) and this set was based on those sculpts, so I'm not surprised they tinkered with them for this edition's release.

The new-new ones are supposed to be easier to build & not as fragile. However these new-new ones have their shields modeled on their arms, making them less customizable and imho less desirable.
