I'm tired of the many malicious crimes Kristi Noem has committed against indigenous people being ignored for years, so here's a thread of what she's done to indigenous people of South Dakota π§΅:

On native families living on reservations in South Dakota she said: "Their kids donβt have any hope. They donβt have parents who show up and help them. They have a tribal council or a president who focuses on a political agenda more than they care about actually helping somebodyβs life look better.β
Noem is an investor in an ethanol plant who partnered with a pipeline company. Pipelines are not only a risk to natives, but the environment as a whole. But, the tribes of South Dakota were the ones who first stood up against them, and fought for the environment and safety of indigenous people.
She did so while also pushing for harsher punishments for indigenous protesters such as water protectors, and our allies, who were protecting our people and the environment.
Noem attacked tribal COVID checkpoints set up to protect their tribes at a time where indigenous people of America were contracting and dying from COVID at an alarmingly high rate. She went as far as to write a letter to Trump saying they were an illegal interference with interstate commerce.
She also pushed for a fireworks permit among sacred land at risk of wildfires, which is just what we needed amongst the environmental disasters in South Dakota. The federal court rejected her appeal, but the fact that she pushed despite what it could've done is still awful, and should be known.
After being banned from all (recognized) tribal land she took it upon herself to attack indigenous people of South Dakota who were not on tribal land. Starting off relatively small by attacking and preventing university staff from including their tribal affiliation and pronouns in their emails.
