Funny story: my dad got called for jury duty a couple years ago. He practiced law for 40 years. One of the jurors was asked a similar question to the one above, and the guy said βwell yeah, if D doesnβt testify it must mean he has something to hide.β
Not sure how you feel about jury nullification, Pat, but this same attorney wrote an article on it around the same time as this video IIRC and it was also something that I found helpful in discussions with a lot of people back then re: e.g. drug prosecutions for marijuana possession, etc.
