Not sure if that was his final speech as PM as he hasn’t stepped down yet. I thought it was as his final speech as Liberal leader. I think he will have a final farewell address in a less partisan environment than the Liberal leadership event.
The whole thing was great. Chrétien, the two lovely daughters, of course our beloved Justin, and now our new PM Mark Carney. I feel a sense of relief that a decision has been made - and 85%. WOW.
He is definitely leaving on a well-deserved high note. He tapped into our collective anger to get the country focused on the fight, got his own elbows up, and hit back hard enough to make us proud of Canada’s response.
