They always have.. i fell for the lie. I have hulu live ad free.. what they dont tell you, is entities like fox NBC and abc have their own ads they force on you.. just not hulu ads.. which also isnt true cause i get the hulu cartoon promo ad they do in platform. Read their terms and conditions

Depending on what that looks like I might downgrade my Hulu plan.
Interestingly, I have a free Max subscription (with ads) as perk from something else. Tonight there were two commercials prior to the start of White Lotus but none during or after the show. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hulu is owned by Disney and Disney+ has been doing the same thing so no surprise there. All these streaming services, save for Apple TV imo, have been getting worse and worse.

I haven't received that email yet... but it makes me so pissed that they're doing this! If I wanted to deal with ads I would pay less than I am already paying...
