No. Lots of people didn't want to vote for genocide. How about we redirect this anger at harris for not committing to opposing the terrorist state of israel?

Yep. Liberals get very defensive and uncomfortable when people stand by their morals. We’d end up with a Trump eventually if they kept letting Dems continue to push the party right. It would just be “lesser of two evils” for another few decades while the US bombs brown people and the planet dies.
“Stood by your morals” and gave Trump the presidency who is now going to demolish Gaza and make it waterfront property for the Israelis. What did you win? 4 more years of torture for innocent people. Great job, I would clap but clearly you all are already proud of yourselves.
Why are your asking me?
My guesses?
1. They have a record of being spineless (their response to USAID so far is to pass a law making treason illegal...)
2. Every day Trump makes five new impeachable offenses, and it's hard to keep up.
3. Didn't want to upset the peaceful transition of power.
She said her policy would be the same as his. How is there any moral or intellectual difference? Biden and Harris sighing dramatically and wagging their finger at Netanyahu before giving him billions is not morally or intellectually different than trump. On issues other than Gaza they differ.
I don’t think the minutiae matters much to the Palestinians who’ll be murdered regardless of who is sitting on the American throne if I’m being honest.
Which is why I don't condemn them. At the same time, it matters TREMENDOUSLY to the trans community in America who is in charge. Which is why I voted Harris. The establishment that forces the 2 party system on us and the EC that gives disproportionate influence to fewer people should be the focus.
They apparently also voted Harris. Like me, they seem to agree that rather than Left and Center pointing at each other the establishment, candidates, 2 party system and trump voters are better targets.
Any politician that comes publicly against Israel let alone calling them terrorists and ceasing all aid wouldn't win a primary let alone the presidency. Harris knew that. Dems knew that.
The only people who act surprised she played the game to try to avoid Trump 24 are leftists who want perfection
Israel are, objectively, terrorists. Supporting the genocide is, objectively, wrong. But you see no issue with people choosing not to vote for a candidate taking these objectively correct positions? But it's an issue when Leftists oppose genocide and terrorists? That's called a double standard.
Not supporting genocide and acknowledging objective reality are not perfection. Harris didn't win any primaries. So you're saying that the pro genocide pro Israeli terrorists wouldn't have voted? Why is THAT ok with you? Why is it only an issue when the Left correctly opposes something?
Why is what okay with me? You write like a stoned teen on the verge of tears.
Obviously genocide isn't okay with me and wasn't with Harris but the Middle East situation is so far beyond that simple of an explanation that you look childishly stupid for acting like it's a binary choice.
Tears? You are projecting hard there. And no, I meant you have no problem with the idea of people not supporting a candidate for being honest about Israel. But you do take issue with not voting for a candidate supporting genocide. It's super easy to not support genocide. She couldn't manage it.
harris and that party fucked up but everyone spreading the message that she would do no good and was just as bad with no further thought ALSO fucked us over AND fucked over Palestine.
If we want to condemn those who abstained we should be willing to own the worst elements of OUR decisions then too. If the abstaining must own trump we must own the genocide. I don't believe either are true. The left does not have sole claim to morality. Neither does the center.
we didn’t HAVE to fuck over minorities here either?? its on her sure. i literally never said it wasnt. i DID reject the idea that she was worse bc she wasn’t. its just also on yall and the dem leaders with no spine, and the ppl who didn’t vote, and maga and the ppl who didn’t research etc etc
And we didn't. She did by supporting genocide. It's her obligation to DESERVE our votes. I held my nose and AGAIN voted for a lesser evil. But I refuse to condemn voters for wanting a better candidate. The EC and lack of rank choice voting are the issue. But left and center would rather fight.
anyways yeah its rly bad she didn’t fight harder against the gcide. but that was something we could actually fight against especially with the momentum of the movement. but i dont have tunnel vision. fuck trump, fuck maga, the lack of stance sucks and yall also helped fuck us and Palestine over.
Also I voted for Harris. I just refuse to condemn those who abstained. I disagree with them. But not wanting to vote for someone supporting genocide is understandable.
yes i agree its their right to vote or not and i was originally on board with not voting bc i also didn’t want to support a candidate/party who cant outright say gcide is wrong period. but its was very obvious what maga wanted to do in regards to the gcide and minorities here.
And I agree. Which is why I disagree with but don't condemn abstaining voters. I blame the establishment, the candidate(s) and the trump voters. The only target should be the 2 party system itself. Anyone pushing for a lesser evil without also pushing rank choice is not a serious person.
do i hate the non voters and 3rd party voters? NO! but we need to get serious and FAST! not voting was lazy and dangerous. it just changed who was being harmed slightly. we just dont have the luxury of pretending that not voting was helping anybody.
We also don't have the luxury of pretending that this system is sustainable. I ONLY vote Democrat because they can be FORCED to do the correct thing. The priority should be making it clear that ending the 2 party system is the goal. Rank choice voting. Abolish the EC. That will appeal to the left.
it didn’t save Palestine and it just put larger targets on the backs of people fighting FOR them here. we have to take what we can get, ensure we can keep the things we get, AND use those things to keep fighting for what we need.
How about you take responsibility for your own actions? You had a choice. Harris or the guy who tried to ban Muslims from entering the country. No. This is on you.
Harris had a choice, she chose to support genocide. I voted for her because of the other issues. I refuse to condemn thise who could not vote for genocide and abstained. This on harris and vermin like you who were fine with her supporting genocide. Go back to the nazi app. Those are your people.

Even if we opposed genocide, we still voted for her.

Their responses to Gaza have been entirely different and yet some how some way they are equally the same.
It's disingenuous.
The mere fact you can’t or won’t point out those differences seems very bizarre to me.
Harris wasn’t Biden, I always thought it was odd how she is generally held more accountable than him when she was the VP.
