The day after the Alonso re-signing was announced, Fangraphs has upped their projection from 85-77 to 86-76, with now a 66 percent chance to make the playoffs. Baseball Prospectus' PECOTA projection of the Mets has improved from 89-73 to 91-71 with an 84.5 percent chance to make the post.

Fangraphs projects the Mets to go 85-77, with a 57.5 percent chance to make the playoffs. That's more pessimistic than BP who has them going 89-73 and a 73.9 percent chance to make it to the postseason.
