This morning we scattered my Dad's ashes at Carbis Bay. This was where my folks took us for our first holidays (a very long 550 mile drive in the 70s) and somewhere special to Dad. It was wonderful that we had such lovely weather.

Beautiful ❤️
Dad is waiting, when he’s joined by mum they will be scattered on a hillside in the Lake District that was special to them when they were dating.
What a lovely place, have happy memories of there as a child - Mam was Cornish. Scattering her ashes tomorrow where she spent most of her life, with my Dad in Mansfield. Hope you and your Mum are bearing up, today must be hard.
Despite all the rain we had a wonderful time. Especially because of the people we met. Like you and L 🥰
Enjoy the memories/love that you shared your parents in the magical place 💙
As a dad I’d love this. The idea that my family got together at my favorite place one more time because of me, yeah that would make smile. I hope you find peace.
Wishing you & your family many condolences. A lot of respect, you’ve honored his memories beautifully on this wonderful beach. Carbis Bay is a very special place, cherished moreso now.
They took you to such a beautiful place so you would become kind and beautiful people. I think he would be as proud of you as you were him. The pain eases a little. There will be times when you smile, but it is never wrong to cry. Love and thoughts
♦️Everybody they are pushing for an audit of the paper votes yay! They're asking for your help please listen and share. If you can't listen you can read the pics for what to do. This is the best news!! 💜
I drove for a day to be by the sea.
Just the sound of the waves and smell of the sea.
The sea can be angry too, but I came for the calm sea.

We were Glasgow, Cambuslang. We used to leave mid afternoon and Dad drove all through the night. Me and my sister were very small so slept most of the way.
I had SPF in my face cream but was wishing I had some for my arms etc. Usually I have some in my car but not at the moment. It is an unusual problem for early March!
Last June we spread our Mom's ashes in the Gulf of Mexico but the urn landed on the deck below and one of the ship employees had to go down and free her and complete her journey. It was somewhat comical but that was her wish, the Gulf of Mexico.
We did this for my dad too (different beach of course) and I love that he has become part of the surf and the sand and that when I walk there I am with him. It’s become a sacred place as this will be for you as well. God bless you.
I hope this helps you find peace. Spreading my father’s ashes at his favorite lake was very therapeutic. It definitely hurt, but that was necessary to heal. ❤️🩹
