Republicans have done nothing, but since LBJ democrats have been timid and feckless. Yes things post Covid were going well until Sinema and Manchin torpedoed extension of pandemic relief. Child tax credit went back down, SNAP was reduced and millions were kicked off Medicaid. Have to accept truth.
