Flying to Japan in two weeks and wondering if my Beats noise-cancelling earbuds will cut it, or if I should invest in something with better battery life / better noise cancelling. I rarely fly so I don't know if it's worth it to spend too much. - ThreadSky

I also have these, which I bought 12 years ago - great battery life but they're huge and they hurt my ears after a while.

We found that noise cancelling earbuds didn't really cut it for us on the long flight. Maybe switch back and forth between that and the headphones? We got good results from the Bose noise cancelling headphones but they are a little pricey. Have so much fun in Japan!
