It could be from blood draws, IVs, anything. Many cardiac and somewhat customary medications for seniors with various conditions require regular blood draws.
I don’t think this is that unusual. We know he’s in poor health and he’s old, doesn’t exercise.
His natural complexion would reveal that too.
