I'm a broken record on this but a 2nd Trump presidency makes it even more important that big liberal cities become places that build enough housing to accept the internal & international migration they've been pricing out for decades

Oh I don't think that will be the case, you'll get immigration policies that let Western Europeans in but between the likely ideological screening and Trump's approval ratings it'll be the worst people from those places mostly.
why would a western Europeaner want to come here now? Well, I guess the Trumpy ones would. Maybe we can do prisoner swaps. I will offer to take their place in the EU so as to sustain the population growth they so badly need. ;-)
I'm not kidding when I say: Hey all you folks who say you're kind of lonely and needing community, it's time to get ready to take in lodgers/housemates/long term guests.
(I think we'll be joining some sort of host-home program as this all unfolds.)
With what funds? I don't think you understand how much of that money is federal. And the scale of the refugee problem from red areas as people begin to understand what they are in for. If they can move before the bottom drops out.
Harris had a plan to address that. We’ll never know if it would have worked. But, hey, you can now take comfort in knowing that there will plenty of housing out there that immigrants once lived in.

I don't get how people don't understand that.
The intentions of blue states won't matter after Jan 20th.
Fuck.
