It's his area, so it is him who's supposed to make the strikers hurt, not the other way round. Can't expect the referee to spot every foul. Especially not in cup matches. :)
It's amazing how bad so many of our forward line are at short passing. Inaccurate, indecisive, too hard or too soft. It's no wonder our goals have to come from opposition errors. Or just Amad being class.
There is no VAR in cups, because they don't want to spend the money on the peasant clubs. The goalie in a big club, with all its advisers and coaches, has to know this.
Not sure I agree with that; there was only one keeper that was disastrous. Bayandir was clearly fouled for the 4th goal. The other 3 were mistakes by our defenders for me. I don't like these narratives being given any help to grow. Disappointing that Neville fuelled it in his commentary.
