I mean, two of them are enemies, the remaining is a stylish, super powered bad b that had us questioning why Lara blew up her own manor during Underworld's marketing (still the best CGI teaser in the franchise IMO).

It's curious to think that perhaps Core Design never intended to give Bacon Lara so much depth - or that they didn't have the dimension to create something so fascinating without realizing it.+

Since she has no weapons and doesn't shoot anything, we can only assume that she has some kind of "magical bond" with Lara - because if one gets hurt, the other does too.

But this bond only exists as long as there is symmetry. So to defeat this creature we need to create a paradox: since the laws of physics still apply to the Doppelganger, it doesn't float without a place to step. It falls, but Lara has no way of falling - and the symmetry is broken, as is the bond.

The Doppelganger dies and Lara remains alive.
This is so incredible, but at the same time so poorly explored - probably due to technical or creative limitations - that it ends up leaving a gap that fans must fill.

Underworld's Doppelgänger is a great character. Would've loved to have seen where this one would go after the Lara's Shadow DLC. Maybe even adventure with Lara herself.
