What people seem to be missing about Trump is that in his first term he was normalised and restrained by people who valued the constitution. Now he isn't. He may start with Yemen (no one really cares about brown people), and he'll get away with it. Gaza is already lost. Maybe Greenland next.

The Houthis are Iranian backed terrorists who have bombed and boarded international vessels since 2023, killing 4 crewmen.

They’ve also attacked US bases / forces many times.

Biden also bombed the Houthis. But no doubt did it more responsibly ie no/fewer civilian casualties.

In my view, this saber-rattling against the Houthis is merely a pretext to instigate a larger mission against Iran. There sure seems to be a lot of mentions of Iran accompanied by threats if Iran continues to support the Houthis and others.
