Anyway, I mostly use paint-dot-net for creating Playdate art assets. Main thing that's useful there is that it has a whole bunch of dither patterns as standard, and the interface isn't overly complicated. Mostly the dither patterns, though.

Just remember to switch off anti-aliasing.
