Appeasing Putin by giving him part of Ukraine -- without Ukraine's consent -- sounds so damn familiar. Is it dejavu?

Maybe I'm thinking of the time in 1938 when the Allies handed Hitler part of Czechoslovakia -- without consent -- so he wouldn't attack the rest of Europe. That worked so well!
